Meet Dr. Chinelo Nduka, DNP, PMHNP-BC
My work in mental health is rooted in compassion, clinical excellence, and over 15 years of experience in mental health nursing, spanning both Registered Nurse and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner roles. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals through some of their most vulnerable moments—helping them navigate anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, maternal mental health challenges, and the emotional weight of life transitions.
These experiences have shaped my belief that effective mental health care must be personalized, thoughtful, and grounded in trust. Mental health concerns do not exist in isolation; they affect how we function, relate to others, and experience daily life. My role is to partner with each client to restore balance, improve emotional well-being, and support long-term stability.
I believe mental health care should never feel rushed, dismissive, or transactional. Every individual deserves to feel seen, heard, and respected throughout their care journey. I strive to provide treatment that honors each person’s values, lived experiences, and personal goals.
My Clinical Approach
My approach to care emphasizes comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, evidence-based medication management, and collaborative decision-making. I take the time to understand the full picture—symptoms, history, lifestyle, and individual preferences—before developing a treatment plan.
I am dedicated to providing care that is compassionate, transparent, and tailored, ensuring clients feel informed and supported at every step. My goal is for clients to leave each visit feeling empowered, confident in their treatment, and supported in their path toward healing and emotional wellness.
Education & Credentials
I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from CUNY Hunter College and my Doctor of Nursing Practice from Stony Brook University. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and hold active licensure in New York and New Jersey.
With a strong foundation in both bedside nursing and advanced psychiatric practice, I bring a holistic yet clinically rigorous perspective to mental health care.
